QSSD has been awarded the New Microsoft Gold Enterprise Resource Planning Accreditation; a stringent set of requirements set by Microsoft to further differentiate partners within the market place.

QSSD had already achieved the Gold accreditation but in order to continue as a Gold partner in 2011 new stringent requirements had to be met. This included client references, customer satisfaction surveys and a completion of exams and assessments. By meeting these criteria QSSD has demonstrated that they provide the market place with the greatest level of customer satisfaction and skills set to implement and develop best in class solutions.

Phil Bacon, Director of QSSD, adds; “Our focus has always been on providing a high level of customer service and support to the market place and we are pleased that Microsoft recognises this as an important factor in a partner’s capability to deliver first class implementation and support.

“This new accreditation helps to bridge the gap between Silver and Gold partners and highlights to our customers and prospects that QSSD has a continued commitment in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and we will continue to do so in the future as one of the leading Microsoft Dynamics NAV partners in the UK.”

QSSD is pleased to announce that we are now the UK partner for Pivotier. A dynamic reporting tool that works with SQL Server and SQL Server reporting services to turn your Microsoft Dynamics NAV data into strategic business information.

Pivotier is easy to install and learn. Users can generate ad-hoc and financial reports without any programming knowledge. For a decade end users have been struggling to easily get reports for data from within their Microsoft Dynamics NAV application. The ability to see all fields from c/side tables has required advanced programming, has been almost impossible, or has required expensive external analytical or reporting applications.

Pivotier has been developed to overcome these reporting issues to bring out of the box financial reports to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV market place without the need for any programming costs and without forcing new learning experiences.

The SQL Server 2008 SP2 has major improvements that include integration of reporting services with SharePoint products and several management improvements.

Report servers in SQL Server 2008 SP2 now integrate with SharePoint 2010 products. They also integrate with SharePoint 2007 products via an add-in, Microsoft's announcement explained.

Microsoft's announcement describes the instance management improvement as follows: "With SP2 applied, an instance of the SQL Server 2008 Database Engine can be enrolled with a SQL Server 2008 R2 Utility Control Point as a managed instance of SQL Server."

Finally, SP2 improves the database engine in SQL Server 2008 to support all data-tier application (DAC) operations, including deploying, deleting, extracting, registering and upgrading. Microsoft defines a data-tier application as follows: "A DAC defines all of the database objects (such as tables and views) and instance objects associated with a database (such as logins) required to support the application."

SP2 is available now at the Microsoft Download Center in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. It runs on systems using Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2003, as well as Windows 7 or Windows Vista client operating systems.
